Keys to a good relationship

In marriage there are good days and bad days, but the good should always out way the bad. Since valentine is approaching and love is in the air these are some of the things I find to be key factors to a successful marriage.
  • Communication: This is very important without communication you are pretty much loss in my opinion
  • DON'T TAKE YOUR SPOUSE FOR GRANTED: Remember what you did in the beginning to attract your spouse and continue to do those things.
  • Romance: keep the spice in your relationship
  • Support: Support each other in their endeavors, be that support system to each other when it feels as if the world has turned their back on you.
  • Listen: listen to each other don't always make everything about you and your needs
  • Date Night: It's important to to step away from the day to day routine of work, school, kids, etc. and focus on each other. It's even better if you can steal a few days away to reconnect.
  • PRAYER: to me it is a true statement that the family who prays together stays together again this is my opinion.
  • Compliments: It's important to uplift one another not to tear down, realize when your spouse needs to be uplifted
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE EACH OTHER AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST AND I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH KEEP YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY OUT OF YOUR MARRIAGE!

Have a wonderful Valentines Day and if your not married or don't have that special someone in your life. Don't freight do something special for yourself and remember love for oneself is always the best love.

A quote about marriage

When giving  the assignment to blog my first thought was what would I talk about. Than I thought to myself why not blog about the one thing that takes up a large part of my life and that is my marriage. I want to share the good and bad of marriage but mostly the good. I want to share the thing that help to make a successful marriage in my opinion. To the following quote by Mignon McLaughlin says a mouthful when it comes to marriage because you have to fall in love over and over again with your spouse to stay connected.
